I was introduced to cycling through my Dad when I was 16 years old. I returned home with Dad from my first ride on a road bike, cleats and all, in tears adamant that I had just experienced a heart attack, not to mention having fallen multiple times at traffic lights (as I'm sure every newby on cleated shoes does for those first few rides) and remember thinking to myself after that how I never want to go on another road ride again!

After hearing about my first experience it might seem like a bit of a suprise to find that today I am a very passionate cyclist wishing to pursue cycling as a career. From my first ride I progressed through joining my local club Peloton Sports and my local academy North Sydney Cycling Academy. I was taught through my training weekly with the academy all the necesary skills not only to ride safely on the road but to also to have the skillset and confidence needed to begin racing. I also participated in a juniors cycling camp in Bathurst not long after beginning cycling and was introduced to a world that I never knew existed. Watching girls my age at this camp ride so strongly and fly up hills in front of me was when I knew that I wanted to be really really good at this sport and I was going to train hard until I became really really good.

Ever since my experience at Bathurst cycling camp I have been training and racing with one big dream in sight, which is to make it as a professional cyclist on the European scene. Today I am both excited and proud to say that I am riding for Maaslandster Nicheliving CCN International Women's Cycling Team based in the Netherlands for the 2016 season. I will be competing among the strongest elite female cyclists in the world. Crazy right!! This year I will get my first taste of what it takes to be a professional in cycling. It will be a big year of new experiences both on and off the bike.

I am ready to delve right into it. I will be posting regularly here on my website for those that would like to keep up to date with my progress and follow me on my journey.
